When Kaitlyn was 16 she was accepted into the NC School of Science and Math. This is a residential high school run by the state for the gifted in Math and Science. After being there for 2 weeks, Kaitlyn decided it was not for her even though she did well in her grades, and moved back home. This letter is from our preacher who gave her a recommendation before she was accepted. It tells of Kaitlyn and the wonderful and complex person she was. Always questioning and searching. This letter tells so much of Kaitlyn’s character. I found this in another box of my saved things of hers that was in another area of the house and I had not looked at that box in a long time.
