My name is Rhonda. I'm a registered nurse, for the last 20 years, that has not been able to work since the day I learned of my daughter's death by suicide 4-12-13. (She actually died 4-11-13 and her body was not found until the 12th) Me and my husband have been married for 32 years and he's a wonderful man. We grieve in different ways. He works, I write. This is my journey through this horrible land of losing a child..

“And I knew you pigtails and all…….”
Last week I had to abandon my bed for a while. Let’s just say my cat Dagny had a urinary problem I did not know about until an event on my bed. I feel I need not say more. So … Continue reading

And I Recall…..
There is something about tragic loss, (so I have just learned because I’ve never experienced it before), that in between the times of bitter grief and devastation, the lying on the floor and asking God how this could have happened, … Continue reading

Sadder Than Sad
I wake up every single morning to the realization that my sweet 23 year old youngest daughter took her own life. I lie in bed and ponder that fact, in the place where we spent many Saturday mornings talking since … Continue reading
